Privacy Policy
planetlink INC operates this website and publishes FreeGuard VPN. This policy is based on the FreeGuard VPN privacy policy and explains how we handle information for our websites, VPN service, account access, subscriptions, customer support, diagnostics, and security operations.
Information we collect
We may collect information you provide directly, such as your email address, account information, support messages, subscription status, and payment-provider records needed to confirm purchases or account access. We may also process technical information such as device type, device name, operating system version, app configuration, browser type, referring page, approximate location derived from IP address, timestamps, crash reports, diagnostics, and usage statistics.
How we use information
We use information to provide and improve FreeGuard VPN, authenticate accounts, confirm subscriptions, operate checkout and account management, answer support requests, troubleshoot errors, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain service reliability, comply with legal obligations, and protect our users and infrastructure.
VPN service data
FreeGuard VPN is designed to protect user privacy. Our service logs do not contain your browsing history, DNS query contents, or the content of your VPN traffic. For abuse prevention, billing, and capacity planning, we may retain limited operational records such as aggregated connection statistics, anonymized bandwidth usage, payment and subscription records, and account authentication events.
Third-party services
We may use third-party providers to operate our apps, websites, subscriptions, analytics, diagnostics, customer support, fraud prevention, payments, hosting, and infrastructure. Depending on the platform and feature, these providers may include Apple App Store, Google Play, Google Play Services, Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Crashlytics, AdMob for platforms where ad-supported access is offered, Facebook, Unity, Stripe, NOWPayments, and infrastructure or support vendors.
Cookies and similar technologies
Our websites and third-party tools may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies to remember preferences, keep sessions secure, measure site performance, and improve services. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some features may not work correctly if cookies are disabled.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that perform work on our behalf, with payment and platform providers to process subscriptions, when required by law, or when necessary to protect our rights, users, services, or infrastructure.
Security and retention
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We retain information only as long as needed for service operation, security, legal, accounting, dispute-resolution, and legitimate business purposes.
Your choices
You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information where applicable. Some information may need to be retained for security, legal, payment, subscription, or account integrity reasons.
Children's privacy
FreeGuard VPN and our websites are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the date on this page and post the revised policy here.
Company website tools and optional measurement
The client configuration checker runs locally in your browser. Configuration text is not uploaded, logged or saved by the checker. It does not fetch subscription links or remote providers, connect to proxy nodes, or verify client compatibility. Clear the text before leaving a shared device.
The network explainer sends a request to the FreeGuard server to observe the trusted client address for that request. The address is necessarily visible to that server. The endpoint uses local network classification data, does not store tool observations and does not call an external IP lookup API. Its IP result is never included in optional company measurement. Ordinary service access and security operations remain subject to the disclosures above.
Company measurement is initially off. If you explicitly allow it, we retain a random browser identifier, bounded source categories, the tool outcome category, topic, language and timestamps. Configuration text and IP results are excluded. A short-lived random token may link a visit to FreeGuard with later server-confirmed payments to evaluate the usefulness of these tools. This is optional; tools and product navigation work without it. A tool result obtained before permission may be remembered in the current page and recorded only if you then allow measurement.
Only the measurement preference is stored before permission. Consented browser measurement state expires after 90 days; handoff tokens after five minutes, server links after 30 days and company cohort records after 120 days. Financial and service records follow their existing retention requirements. Aggregated reports distinguish missing information from measured purchases.
Use the measurement controls on any company tool or guide page to decline or change your choice. Declining clears browser measurement identifiers and attempts to withdraw existing server links when online. A bounded revocation record may remain for 120 days to reject late requests. DNT and GPC signals force company measurement off and clear local identifiers. An offline browser cannot immediately erase previously stored server data; retention limits still apply.
